This NaNoWriMo yielded 51,000+ relatively coherent words of an anti-dictatorial satire pretending to be a fantasy novel. I'm tentatively calling it "A Visit During Fateful Minutes". (It's something from Fyodor Tyutchev, and no, I'm not expecting anyone to get it.)

Besides several real life societies, the novel parodies also a few fantasy tropes. For instance, the mannish and unpretty heroine turns out to be a Princess, there are dragons that fart fire and look like piles of dirty laundry, and when the shit hits the fan, the handsome prince organizes a field hospital and leaves the action to everyone else.

Also, the good guys kill more of each other in friendly fire than of the enemy in direct engagement, the enemy gets defeated through internal strife and panic, and later the historians lie about everything.

I think it might actually sell.
